Sheet Material Calculator

Maximise material efficiency with our Sheet Material Calculator. This easy-to-use tool helps you estimate how many parts you can cut from a single sheet or multiple sheets of material. Simply enter your overall sheet size and the dimensions you require, and the calculator will provide optimal patterns, total cuts, and waste analysis.

Please note, C&W Berry offers an on-site cutting service for OSB, MDF, plywood, and melamine-faced chipboard (MFC). While we supply strips of Chinese hardwood plywood online, cutting is not available for orders of sheet materials via our e-commerce website. For customers within our local delivery area, cutting can be arranged by enquiry. Linear / strip cutting
The sheet is first divided into parallel horizontal strips by full-width cuts, then each strip is cross-cut to produce the required piece lengths.
Guillotine cutting
Every cut passes fully from edge to edge, dividing the panel into exactly two rectangles. Sub-panels are cut recursively.
